Vacancies & One-Time Registration (OTR)
UPPRPB is recruiting for a total of 4,543 Sub-Inspector posts, segmented as follows:
Civil Police (Male & Female): ~4,242 posts
Female PAC/Regional Units: ~106 posts
Platoon Commander/SSF Roles: ~195 posts combined
All applicants must complete the One-Time Registration (OTR) on the UPPRPB portal—now required for all UP police recruitment—before applying. OTR allows you to save personal data for future use.
Eligibility Criteria & Age Limit
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (final-year candidates must produce proof at DV).
Age (as of 1 July 2025): General category: 21–28 years; OBC/SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Freedom Fighters: up to 33–36 years depending on category/benefit.
Nationality: Indian citizen (certain special category exceptions may apply).

The post of UP Police SI falls under Pay Level-6 with a basic salary ranging around ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400. After allowances (HRA, DA, TA, Medical, Uniform), the in-hand salary is typically ₹55,000–₹58,000.
Role Overview: As an SI, you’ll lead a team of constables, conduct investigations, manage crime scenes, maintain law & order, and oversee checkpoints during critical events. With experience, promotion to Inspector and beyond is possible.
