How to prepare — a practical, 8-week roadmap

Weeks 1–2: Foundation & document checklist

  1. Download the official calendar & watch for the specific ad — shortlist the posts you are eligible for. (Official calendar has dates and vacancy counts.)
  2. Assemble documents: education certificates, domicile, photo ID, caste/EWS certificate (if applicable), DOB proof, passport photos and scanned signatures.
  3. Set up email and a dedicated notes folder; bookmark the UKSSSC recruitment page and the PDF.

Weeks 3–8: Syllabus, practice & revisions

  1. Syllabus mapping: Get the syllabus from the specific notification as soon as it is published. For general computer posts, focus on MS Office, basic IT, GK and reasoning.
  2. Daily practice: 2 hours of concept+1 hour of mock/test; weekly full-length mock from Week 6.
  3. Skill tests: For typing/shorthand/physical tests, allocate dedicated practice (typing speed practice, driving test practice, or physical training for forest guard tests).

FAQ

When will the official notifications (advertisements) be released?
The calendar lists proposed advertisement dates for each post (mostly between September and December 2025). Individual notifications with full eligibility, application window and fee will appear on UKSSSC's official recruitment/notification page — candidates should monitor the official site regularly. (See official calendar PDF.)
Are the vacancy numbers final?
The calendar shows approximate (tentative) vacancy counts. Final vacancy numbers and category-wise breakup will be published with each individual advertisement.
How and where to apply?
Applications (for each post) will be accepted as per instructions in the specific notification. The official UKSSSC recruitment/notification section will host application links and instructions — always use the official portal to register and pay fees.
What should I prioritise if I am eligible for multiple posts?
Prioritise posts by (1) match with your strongest qualification; (2) ease of preparing for the skill/physical test; (3) timeline clash (prepare for the earliest exam first). Keep separate preparation plans for each shortlisted post.
