Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Matriculation (10th pass) from a recognized board.
Knowledge of the local language/dialect of the applied SIB.
Domicile certificate of the state/UT of the chosen SIB.
Desirable: Field experience in intelligence duties.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection involves a three-tier process. Final merit is based on combined performance and subsequent verifications.

Translation of a ~500-word passage from local language to English & vice-versa.
This stage is qualifying in nature.
A spoken ability test (10 marks) is also conducted during Tier-III.
Tier-III: Interview & Verification (50 Marks)
Candidates are assessed on personality, communication, and suitability for field duties, followed by document verification and medical examination.

No. An applicant can apply for only one SIB. The application will be rejected if multiple applications are submitted.
Is there negative marking in the Tier-I exam?
Yes, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer in the Tier-I online test.

You will need original and photocopies of your Matriculation certificate, Domicile certificate, valid ID proof, and Category certificate (if applicable).
